Disney does not take into consideration the diversity within women. All Disney princesses have outstanding hair, mesmerizing eyes, clear skin, perfect teeth, and a gym-worthy figure. However, in the real world this is definitely almost never the case. When you wake up, your hair is only twists and knots. Not everyone has radiant colored eyes. Every single person in this world will go through the process of puberty. During puberty, an individual face is filled of acne. This leads to faces not being exactly clear structure. Not everyone in this world is blessed enough to have naturally straight teeth. There are many individuals, both men and women, who must use braces to achieve such perfection. This is true, however, children follow the famous saying “monkey see, monkey do.” This saying states that what children observe will often lead to them performing the exact action. Therefore, as these children continue to observe Disney princess films, they will obtain this example to follow. They will go through out their life with the mind set that these films have unintentionally provided. Once they find out themselves that the real world is nothing similar to the movies they have grown up watching, they will be utterly confused as to what to do. For example, there is no telling what will go through the minds of these children when they realize that not everyone in the world is exactly a prince charming nor as helpful as those individuals in the films.
