Walt Disney had a right difficult life. He was born on December 5th, 1901. Disney had a house full of brothers and a sister. He had five siblings which consisted of four brothers and his one sister. Disney was a creative in his early years. He would draw pictures and sell them to his neighbors to make money. He began to study his dream at Mckinley High School which is located in Chicago. Walt Disney didn’t have much support from his family other than his mom and his older brother Roy. They encouraged Disney to chase his dream. By, 1918 Walt tried to do military service but was rejected because of his age. Instead he went to work for the Red Cross. He drove ambulances around in France. Just like Mickey Mouse. Walt Disney created Mickey in 1928 at the Walt Disney Studios. Mickey Mouse has become the most recognizable cartoon character. Mickey Mouse was in his first cartoon in Steamboat Willie. It was also one of the first cartoons that had sound. This was a huge success for Walt Disney because Mickey Mouse was an icon. Mickey Mouse was everywhere. The cartoon was filmed in a ridiculous amount of films. Mickey wasn’t known for his long films. The mouse was known for his short films and being funny. This character was astonishing. Mickey also had some friends that are well known as well. Mickey had his best buddy Pluto which was his dog and his best friends goofy and Donald Duck. The popular mouse had a girlfriend known as Minnie Mouse. The wise mouse had a nemesis just as Walt Disney did but Mickey’s nemesis was Pete. Mickey was so popular that he was nominated ten times for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. Mickey Mouse is legendary. I’ve only been to Disney World once in my life and I don’t remember a thing. I think it is cool to understand how this kingdom was built by the great Walt Disney. It’s amazing how Walt Disney started with little support with pursuing a degree in arts. Then ending up building Disneyland and building Disney World even after he had passed away. As a kid I had always love Mickey Mouse and reading this booking seeing that he was the cartoon to character that started this. It blows me away knowing that the Mickey Mouse I had as my comforter is the same Mickey Mouse that created Disneyland. I respect everything that Walt Disney has done to the world and I wish he would have seen the greatness that he accomplished when Disney World was built in
