Analysis Of Walt Disney For The Kids At Heart

Disney for the Kids at Heart Walt Disney once said, “ Too many people grow up. That’s the real trouble with the world, too many people grow up. They forget. They don’t remember what it’s like to be 12 years old. They patronize, they treat children as inferiors. Well, I won’t do that.” Walt wanted to create an empire that would help adults remember what it was like to be kids. So, is Disney really just for kids? Disney has a common connotation that it is just for little kids, but there are many things within this company for the kids at heart. If people knew what all there is to the company, then maybe they might realize Disney is not just for little kids. One day while Walt Disney was sitting on a park bench and watching his children ride a merry-go-round, he thought up the idea of a park for families that would be entertaining for adults and children (Disney Studios 10). This was his beginning thoughts for Disneyland in California. A few years later, Walt thought up the idea of having a family park on the East Coast. He called it the Florida Project. This resort consists of 14 floors (Disney Studios 88). Within the 14 floors are many things for adults to do. Some of those things are shopping a beauty shop or going to a health spa (Disney Studios 88). These are places adults can go to get away from children and be away from the hecticness of the parks. The Contemporary Resort also is home to many areas that can be used for conventions, exhibitions, meetings, and banquets (Disney Studios 88). This can be useful for adults in the business world because they can hold formal business meetings while still staying on Disney property near the parks.
