Requirement #1 Disney is divided into five different divisions: Media Networks such as ESPN and ABC, Parks and Resorts such as Disney World and Disney Cruises, Walt Disney Studios that produce the movies that people have come to love, Disney Consumer Products that produces Disney-themed toys and other goods, and Disney Interactive that produces video games and interactive activities for their fans. Disney has spread globally, too, so they would have regional managers depending on what country or group of countries Disney occupies overseas. To create value for its customers, Disney provides fantastic service at all of its resorts as well as a fun environment, memorable movies that people can relate to and love, and just an overall happy-go-lucky atmosphere among all of its assets that appeals to the child in everyone. Their business strategy is to be extremely friendly in order to rope you in to their parks, movies, TV stations, and consumer goods. Their business model and strategy works now, and it is a pretty simple strategy to replicate for years to come. They have more money than they even need, so funding any new project will not be an issue, and they have enough success in other areas that, if one project here or there fails, they will still be able to survive. In other words, they have diversified enough that if one sector is struggling, the other sectors can pick up the slack. Also, in the grand scheme of the movie industry, they definitely have their niche. It just happens that their niche is very large and appeals to a wide variety of people.
