Dishonesty In President Bill Clinton

Would you be willingly to let the wrong candidate, who has been known to lie repeatedly, be the president for the next four years? In order for someone to be trusted, they need to have the core feature of being honest. If the principle of honor has been violated, the credibility of that person depreciates, essentially making it harder to gain that trust once more. This is where the Clinton campaign is having trouble during this year’s election. Hillary Clinton had plenty of opportunities to be honest, but many times it has been diluted. Ultimately this trend has backfired when the truth comes out. Even though she has broad political and social experience, the voters cannot decide if she is worthy of being the future president. This could have been avoided if she had been more authentic with herself and to the nation; integrity is rooted in taking responsibility and being honest, as is respect. …show more content…
Realistically every president at some point was dishonest. Whether it was something seemingly unimportant, some major cover up due to error, or they thought was in the best interest of the people, every president has omitted truth or simply lied. However, presidents like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Senator Bernie Sanders while not perfect, were as transparent as possible given their positions and considered to be honorable. They were among the favored candidates for their conspicuousness. Despite the basis of their political platforms, these gentlemen commanded respect from their peers and their constituents all due to their firm conviction to honesty.
