Your response of the Netflix Culture is a great summary of how a conscious capitalist company should be set up. It is really sad that the CEO of Dish Joe Clayton can’t get with the program to know that employee satisfaction makes a huge difference in terms of really running a great business. Word will eventually get out and the media attention will be negative. This will intern effect how the customer view and perceive Dish Network. According to Glassdoor submissions, employees regularly complained about poor pay and benefits at Dish Network. A Bloomberg Business week story in January attributed much of the employee discontent to chairman and co-founder Charlie Ergen.
