Is the problem restated?
In the discussion section of the article, the problem is restated. The goal of the study was to analyze social workers use of Evidence Based Practice (EBP) with their clients in their practice as social workers. The authors stated their research as shown there is an increase of social workers using EBP in their practice of social work. The social workers who use EBP the most are those who recently graduated with their MSW degrees. This shows how the push to use EBP in social work education has affected the use of EBP.

The analysis is objective. The authors not only present the positive outcomes of the study, but also discuss the limitations. A couple of the limitations discussed were how all the social workers surveyed were only from Texas, and how there was a large number of social workers who did not respond to the survey. Another concern expressed is how, which is the case with many surveys, what people say they do is not necessarily what they do.
Are the findings justified?
The findings in this article are justified. The authors acknowledge their limitations with the study. The study did also present their in an increase in the use of EBP in the practice of social work. The study showed there is progress being made with the use of EBP.
As far as the concepts I am learning this week, I have noticed I have gained a better overall understanding of research articles. I have noticed as each week goes by, there is another layer of each article I understand better, especially the methodology sections. I have even noticed I better understand other kinds of articles, such as magazine or newspaper articles, which include some type of statistical
