Transformational leaders demonstrate the ability to empathize with others and use that to encourage them. These leaders are able to control their own emotions when dealing with those around them as not to influence them with their own feelings. Not letting your emotions override what you are trying to portray to others is a commendable skill in any workplace. When working with a team, anyone who leads must be able to remove themselves from whatever they are feeling. Being able to work as a team as well as lead them is a valuable skill. Transformational leaders are able to channel an inspirational motivation into their coworkers as well as those they lead and their clients, customers, patients, etc. They are effective communicators that are able to pump up the team to exceed their own goals by helping them to feel good about the job they are doing. These managers are knowledgeable and confident.

When leading by positive example, transformational leaders are able to work with colleagues on all levels. By being a role model, transformational leaders lead through example. When they exemplify a servant’s heart, it inspires everyone they come in contact with. It motivates them to be what they have witnessed. It will have a snowball effect on everyone down the line. Each person will want to do better for each other. It creates a comradery of positivity. The positivity pours out onto the people that they provide

According to the article, “Transformational Leadership: The Impact of its Behaviors on Manufacturing Strategy,” transformational leadership “advocates the seeking of alternative solutions to workplace challenges.” This is something that could be used in regular life situations. Some circumstances in life, you need to think out of the box and the experience of this style of leadership could give you those invaluable resources.
