What is a rule?
A rule is something that is enforced to keep everyone safe and make sure it is fair. For instance there is no time limits in routines.
What is an IGB?
IGB stands for International Governing Body, they are rules determined for each sport.
What is a NGB?
NGB stands for National Governing Body. The NGB are in charge of ensuring rules are kept and that competitions are fair.
Who’s the NGB for Trampolining?
It is British Gymnastics.
Rules in Trampolining
1. Routines should be performed in the middle of the trampoline.
2. Gymnasts should present before they start their routine.
3. Men should not perform in the same competition as women.
4. Each routine performed should be 10 skills long.

If there was no such thing as officials no one could take part in competitions. Officials take a massive contribution in the sport trampolining. They also ensure every competitor is treated fairly.

Officials are important as it ensures safety. Rules are important to ensure people are ranked to their ability and that all competitors have the same principles of scoring and safety.
How to improve the application of rules, regulations and scoring systems in trampolining?
The scoring system is very complicated to get your head around and anyone just beginning the sport won’t understand the full details of it. Also due to the benefit of the modern world now they could access modern technology to double check that the scoring is accurate that they gave before otherwise they could change it.
