In addition, I will continue to take college classes while working to stay up to date in the ever expanding world of technology.

Describe your scholarly or creative activities; the committee welcomes copies of research papers, honors or awards, published material, etc.
My most recent scholarly activity would be the completion of my math extended essay for IB. Writing the essay took copious hours of researching, writing, and revising. However, all of my work was rewarded with the knowledge I gained not only on my topic, but also on the process of writing a large research paper.

Another one of my scholarly activities is being co-Captain of my school's Academic Quiz Team. We answers questions from any academic subject. This involves lots of memorization, but also lots of cooperation. Last year we won our county competition and this year we won a competition which qualifies us for the the national NAQT competition.

In addition, I tutor other students in math in the morning before school begins. In order to successfully help them I need to show them how to do their problems in a method they can understand and can then apply on their own. Tutoring other students is extremely rewarding, especially when they come back with smiles on their faces, saying they did well on their

It is scholarly in the research I put into preparing the case. However, it is also a creative involvement because as a team we have to be creative in the way we word and reword direct and cross examination questions to avoid objections. A creative activity of mine is making cards for breast cancer patients and selling cards to support breast cancer research. My mother and I make the cards in order to donate and sell the cards to our local Breast Cancer Awareness chapter. The cards are given to patients; meanwhile, the funds are given to support the cost of treatment and fund research.

In addition to Mock Trial and making cards, last year I played in the pit orchestra for my school's musical production. I was in orchestra up until my Senior year. It does not fit into my schedule this year due to the IB diploma program. However, I am now involved in my school's drama club. These are both creative activities because I am either using my instrument or my words to express a story to an audience.

d. List and describe your extracurricular activities, awards and community service involvement.
