In Human services we face many issue such as poor school, date rape, divorce and discrimination based on race. Today I will mainly focus on discrimination based on race. In today race racism has improved and we are seeing the thing that our great-grandparents experienced in the 50th and 60th. Many people do not believe that racism still exist and I strongly disagreed. Per Michelle E Martin “It would be naïve to assume that race and ethnicity did not have a significant effect on adolescent development, including the type of problem adolescents of various races experience as well as the various responses to those problem, both within the family and within the community (Martin Pg 137). Many people who suffers from mental illness tend feel the no one in this loves them and many of them experiences several case where they were being discriminated based on their race, gender, or living situations. On the other hand, African American’s are discriminating people of their color. This is inspired by real life story. Few years back while I was attend middle school. I was migrated to the Unite State to pursue my education. Mind you I did not know how to speak English, my communication skill were not even close to being perfect; however, I was always curious to learn how to articulate words/phases. Many African America took my naïve for granted. I was miss treated and talked down on. I experienced few manic episode of depression. I even thought of ending my life. But what I did not know was that those kids were in-deny. To make long story short, I’ve learnt that people who gain from hurting others; they are experiencing some type hurt situation in their own life, so the only way to find closure to hurt other people and abuse them so they could cover their own painful life. Furthermore, if people do not realize those reason, we see many them go through hard time facing life and living a
