The reason being is that people look for churches that fit their beliefs. This obviously applies to the doctrine, but there it also applies to cultural and ethnic backgrounds. People stick to the churches where their families have gone for generations. I think it has become more of a habit than pure straight racism. I do believe that people do not like change simply because it is change. Things are done differently with each culture or in every race. People are scared of change. They like tradition. There has to be a lot of compromise for everyone. It probably feels easier to keep things as they are because then old wounds will not be
