There are three different forms of discrimination patterns that occur in police agencies and they are: institutionalized discrimination, contextual discrimination and individual acts of discrimination. The institutionalized discrimination refers to the undeserved and discriminatory domination of an individual or group of individuals by society and its institutions as a whole, going through the unfair selection or bias, on purpose or involuntary as different to individuals making s mindful choice to discriminate. It stems from systemic stereotypical beliefs such as sexist of racist beliefs that are held by the cosmic mainstream living in a society where stereotypes and discrimination are the average Such discrimination is typically codified into the in service procedures, policies, laws, or objectives of such institutions. Members of underground groups such as populations of African descent in the United States or members of the group of people are at a much advanced risk of encountering these types of social structural weaknesses. Along with the harsh and long-lasting harmful effects of institutionalized discrimination on affected populations are augmented suicide rates, concealed achievement of assets and decreased access to health care.
