Discrimination Against Women In The United States Essay

Women, in the United States are view as dominating-leaders. In Middle East, this is view as discontent among women with the extent of state. Muslim men view this as disobeying and interferences in personal relationships or with the disparity between their own status and that of being loyal and their position. How an individual display their loyalty to another group is a personal preference but once their opinion is force upon another group, according to Race & Ethnic Group Stratification (n.d.) is a form of” stereotyping” (p. 256-257) and “discrimination.” In my opinion, an individual can choose any religion; this is their personal preferences. However, how an individual is treated based on their culture and appearances that are singled out are unjust and unfair. Since 9/11 terrorist’s actions have been on the rise making Americans to not raise their guards down. Iraq had nothing to do with attacking the United States on September 11, 2001. Muslims want to maintain their individual identity. Āyatullāh Murtadhā Muťahharī, author of The Divine Justice (2004), states that “religious pluralism has not yet become that popular in Iran.” Islam, in my opinion, seeks peace and co-existence between United States when it comes for American troops to protect Middle East territories and Muslims.
