The population of obese people in Canada is growing exponentially in the recent years. We expect that the number will continue to rise if we don’t do something about it.
Obesity affects more people than you may think. One in four adults and one in ten children in Canada are now living with obesity—this means roughly twenty-one million Canadians are affected by this condition (far more than people living with diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, chronic lung disease or cancer).
