Disc golf has become increasingly popular leisure sport over the past twenty years. What started as a fad has quickly become a driving force in recreation sports. There is no denying that disc golf will continue to go in popularity among every age group. In addition, the sport has been gaining participants in large numbers. The Professional Disc Golf Association saw their active members of 20,587 in 2013 rise to 24,443 in 2014, an increase of 84% (Association).
As more and more individuals of all genders, take to the links, disc golf companies have seen an increase in disc golf sales over the years. However, the number of disc being sold is just not due to beginners starting out, it is all players regardless of experience replacing lost discs.

Some of the features are the distance of the disc thrown by the player, score keeping; the effect the weather has the travel of the disc, and the able to download local courses. However, the one feature that has not been successfully captured on any mobile app is a functional GPS system, until now.
Strengths
This is why Flyin High Disc, in partnership with Samsung, has strengthened their position in seizing the moment to capitalize on an unsuccessful sector of the sport, GPS technology for disc. Coupled with the newest technology in plastics, Flyin High Discs has given players of all levels the opportunity to locate what misplaced discs. In addition, players will be saving time and money from having to replace lost discs.
Weaknesses
On the other hand, Flyin High Discs is relatively new in the market. Within the first month they have already and ironically have lost one of their top managers. Coupled with the fact that they are new to the market, they face the challenges of creating a large based networking system. Because of the increased popularity of disc golf, more tournaments have sprung up across the nation. In 2013 the PDGA reported that 1,891 tournaments were held and in 2014 the numbers increased to 2,120 tournaments, that is an 89.2% increase (Association). In addition, due to Flyin High Discs being in a college city, they can sponsor an annually tournament in conjunction with the University of Wisconsin student body to promote their business, as well as a community
