Executive Summary:
Waste has become a global problem. It has become very necessary to address this problem, so that energy problems can be solved. 50 million tonnes of domestic waste is produced every year, and this is a health hazard. Domestic waste is nothing but paper, kitchen waste, and plastic.
Plastic is the common term for a wide range of synthetic or semi-synthetic materials used for a huge and growing range of applications. We can find plastic in most of the items that we use today, such as our clothes, utensils, toys, bottles etc.
It is a known fact the plastic is a non-biodegradable item. Non-biodegradable means that it cannot be decomposed by natural processes. As a result, plastic products persist and hence harm the environment.

into the atmosphere.

ADVANTAGES OF RECYCLING PLASTIC:
• Protects Environment: The most important benefit of recycling is that it helps in protecting the environment in a balanced manner. For example, by using recycled paper, we can reduce deforestation to an extent. A number of other natural resources can be reused this way.
• Reduces Energy Consumption: A large amount of energy is consumed by processing raw materials at the time of manufacture. Recycling helps to minimize energy consumption, which is crucial for massive production, such as mining or refining. This also makes the production process very cost-effective for manufacturers.
• Reduces Pollution: Industrial waste today is the main source of all types of pollution. Recycling of plastic helps to cut down pollution levels considerably, as these materials are re-used.
• Reduces Global Warming: Recycling helps to alleviate global warming and its ill effects. Recycling ensure that the burning process is minimized and any waste is re-generated as a useful product with minimal harmful impact on the

A large amount of energy is consumed by processing raw materials at the time of manufacture, and recycling helps to minimize that energy consumption. This reduction in energy consumption can also decrease the amount pollution associated with creating energy. This includes the production of industrial products such as cans, chemicals, and plastics. These materials are being re-used, and not just being thrown away (“Advantages and Disadvantages of Recycling” ). Global warming is decreases when we recycle.…

Lastly, green roofs have excellent noise attenuation can reduce sound/noise pollution. Cellulose insulation is made from recycled paper, mostly of recycled newspapers. This reduces greenhouse gas production as it reduces the amount of paper that end up in landfills, which produce greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide as it decomposes. If all of the paper in landfills were converted to cellulose insulation technology, it is approximated that about eight million tons of carbon dioxide emissions would be reduced. In addition, using recycled materials help conserve natural resources such as reducing deforestation.…

However, scientists have found a number of solutions which when combined can help minimize the amounts of greenhouse gases emitted and thereby reducing global warming. Energy used to heat, to cool or as power in homes and industries greatly contributes to global warming. If applied, energy efficiency technologies let people use much less energy which results to the same or better level of service or product. This therefore helps in reducing global warming. Transport is another great contributor of global warming.…

This may include donating the facilities to other places that do not have them, and would make use of them. It reduces the aspects of the wastes that is encountered. Various institutions like Toshiba offer money incentives to the consumers who have used the products entirely, and instead of dumping them they are taken by the company and used in the reproduction of other materials (Namias, 2013). This greatly helps in reduction of the e-waste in the economy and people are keener on where they dump their used electronics. Re-using involves the process of ensuring that the electronics are not just thrown away for any reasons but are regularly re-used to help in improvement of the economy at large since unnecessary costs are reduced.…

These two steps not only improve the Earth 's environment but will also save the company money. This can be achieved by simply turning off lights when not in use and removing the motion lights around the office. Turning a light switch on and off is a small sacrifice to conserve the planet 's resources. Another way the office can conserve energy is by using shades on exterior windows to block out the heat during the summer. Friday all-staff lunches could also be minimized so leftovers do not end up in the trash.…
