Many people all around the world attend some form of school, whether it 's learning the traditional way, or another method of learning, such as online learning. Traditional learning is learning in a classroom, at a school, where you are taught face-to-face by a teacher. Online learning is school that has its courses on the internet, and you get no face-face interaction with your teachers because it 's all on a computer screen. Online schooling can be done at home, a library, or anywhere that there is as computer and a good source of internet. A student can favor one form of learning over the other without knowing or researching the advantages and disadvantages of each learning style. Online learning allows flexibility to students’ schedules, which is a great benefit for students that are busy or have a hard time making it to school. Online schooling also allows flexibility in taking classes from other countries but still getting to stay at home. Online school is also less time consuming than traditional school. There is no set time that you have to start online school like there is for traditional school. The course material for online students is available to them 24/7 which allows a student to work at the time that is best for them. Students get to work on their own time and can focus on subjects that they need the most help in, where for traditional school students would have the same classes for only a certain amount of time. Online learning also allows students to work from home, which can help them to concentrate more since they would be in a more quiet environment without other people around them.Online learning also teaches students how to motivate theirselves becuse they don’t have their teachers pushing them to do things. Studies show that students who participate in online learning test better on standardized test. Online learners average test scores on standardized tests are in the 59th percentile, while traditional learners average test scores are in the 50th percentile. Online students majors that they want to study are similar to what traditional students want to study. Both forms of learning focus on studying business, nursing, psychology, and elementary education. This shows that online education and traditional education are similar and that an online student can be just as good as a traditional student. Traditional students are more recognized than an online student would be because online students are often seen as lazy by society. The studies found prove that wrong. They show that students who take class online end up scoring better than students who are in traditional classes, which gives online learning the more favorable type of
