First of all, people usually think Asian are smart. They are so intelligence who can ace all the AP exams, solve all Calculus problems by hands. This stereotype does not apply to anyone. An Asian stereotype, the super-smart looking, was beneficial to me because it made me rise up to their high expectations. Teachers generally like me because I looked studious, was focusing on the lectures, and was pretty quiet in the class. This is actually a good thing. Another advantage is Asian have a younger looking than the other races. Personally, I see this is the problem because I still look like high school freshman when I am already eighteen-year-old. I am scared that people will not treat me seriously or like an adult. When I tell my friends my ages, I always get a surprised reaction. This problem will be continuous to happen in my future career. I have a fear that people will not give me respectable and see me as I am mature. It is kind of annoying in that when I got a high score on an exam or received an award. People just give me an expression “It’s because you are Asian.” I was so down and confused. Why all my accomplishments are because of my race, not because of my own efforts. I worked and studied hard for them, but I ended up with receiving accreditation from people. Although they were saying with harmlessly and jokingly, but it made me think. I was taught to be humble and respect to others. I see everyone as my friends, no matter what races they are, where they come from. Friends are friends. Everyone can be bad, not because your race makes you

As pretty much as you may trust that particularly your age, sexual orientation, or race is unimportant, they influence how others see you. Indeed, they even influence how you generally see yourself. In a well known arrangement of examinations, subjects who were prepared with various components of their personality really performed distinctively on tests in a big way. Asian-American ladies who were prepared with their ethnicity improved the situation on math tests than the control gathering, and stunningly much better than the individuals who mostly were prepared with their sexual orientation. Without a doubt these ladies considered the generalization that men are definitely better at math noxious and false; that didn''t mostly prevent it from…

By being Asian, I somewhat feel obliged to further myself due to some of the stereotypes; not all stereotypes are bad and demeaning. The classic Asian stereotype is that we are all really smart people. In my opinion, that is a label that I would proudly have if I could achieve it. By having that general expectation solely by race, I strive to meet the expectations and push myself to be more intelligent. Without that extra push to drive myself to a higher expectation, I would never have such relatively positive attitude towards school.…

The only advantage is that I made a solid foundation in high school and learned math deeper than American students because of the long study hours. Additionally, if Chinese students do not work hard at college, they will fail at classes as well. In such circumstances, the stereotype, which argues that Chinese students are all good math learners, is not true. Stereotypes have great impacts on people all over the world. One of the reasons why people believe stereotypes blindly is that they know less about the objects.…

Asians are also labeled as geeks who excel in math, are very smart biologically, and hardworking individuals. According to the article Stereotyping Asian-Americans: Harvard Calls It ‘Diversity’ But It’s More Like Racial Balancing by YuKong Zhoa, Daniel Golden Thomas Espenshade believes that the reason behind these discrimination is because “Asian Americans are held to a higher standard than the other races” Although these are the better stereotypes Asian Americans face, there are plenty of horrible and equally inaccurate ones like Asians are the worst when it comes to driving, can not play sports but know martial arts, are socially awkward and passive with no leadership skills. And more often than not, if an Asian female character is the main love interest, she 's being fought over by a white guy and an Asian guy, with the white guy ending up with the girl.” That shocking trope was pointed out in an interview with John Cho and Kal Penn ,stars of movie series ‘Harold and Kumar’.(“Diversity (or the lack thereof) In Media”) Stereotypes similar to that consist of the asian character always being labeled as the ‘intelligent and stoic” character or given a strong accent and an inability to speak clear english, only a broken…
