Lack of Economic Stability Lack of economic stability is one thing. Being Hispanic is another. Put them together and they really kind of almost lock on. I am not saying that every Hispanic out there is low income or lack stability economically. Those who do are the first generation that is born into a low-income family and the family does not have much to give to their kids. First generation Hispanics struggle and tend to have a hard time since they are the first in their families and are the ones who get to deal with everything that goes one with the family. Having a lack of economic stability with first generation Hispanics is difficult and overwhelming to exit its trapping nature. It is hard …show more content…
Why is it a disadvantage for Hispanics? It is a disadvantage because for first generation Hispanics they don’t really get to grow in a proper school environment with the proper support much since they are the first ones sometime the parents do not know what to do or where to enroll them and what not. According to Maldonado, C., & I. Farmer, E. “Despite high educational expectations, Hispanics are among the least educated group in the United States: 11 percent of those over age 25 have earned a bachelor's degree or higher compared with 17 percent of blacks, 30 percent of whites, and 49 percent of Asian Americans in the same age group”(Para. 3). These would be the three best places to let the word out and kind of have others aware of some of the cause or risks some Hispanic families go through. These are not the only ways that may work but it’ll be the best way because not that many people know who really are among us. That way people see what immigrants have to go through how there children have it hard on them because everything is different to their parents. While their parents are trying there best to raise their children in the U.S. to give the best to them that is something the parents hardly had. And that is why they came here to the U.S in the first place. These places would be the best to make the
