We need to find a way to create a safe place for families to be able to talk about the difficulties they go through not only whenever there is just a rally where all the families get together, but also for last minute stress reliever to talk about some of the families problems and maybe hearing someone else 's struggles can help you push through yours or even give you ideas on how to get through them. Some of this time that 's taken away from the family causes emotional stress on families whether it is testing the strength of the relationship between the parents, between the siblings, or even the control the parents have on the children. The most emotion stress that could be brought on a parent would be one who might enjoy working and prides themselves on not being a stay at home parent but is forced to do so anyway. This caught my attention because of my background in me being Arabic and having a sibling who is considered disabled. We personally have not experienced any of these situations but then again my brother and I are only half Arabic. The article talks about how much the arabic culture really affected the way the arabic families were able to interact with the school systems regarding their children. For some families it was limited because of lack of communication and misunderstanding between the schools and families because some still could not speak or understand english very well. For some other families it almost felt to them like they were being taken advantage of because of their background and did not like the attention their children were getting from the teachers. Aside from those, the biggest complaint was within the family and how most of the fathers from that culture felt as if it was solely the mother’s responsibility to take care of the children. The mothers have found it tough to find support from others without the father’s help and which makes their lives very difficult.
