Dirk Nowitzki is one of the greatest to ever play the game. He was born on June 19,1978 in wurzburg, germany.The high school where he was drafted out of was rontgen gymnasium he was drafted straight out of high school.He was pick in the first round at number 9 by the milwaukee bucks but was later traded to the dallas mavericks.The first nba game he played in was february 5,1999 but that season he only scored around 8.2 points per game and also he only started in 24 games that season.In the next season he stepup and socred around 17.5 points per game and started 81 out of 82 games.The 2006-2007 Nba season was a great on for him he socred around 25 points per game which won him the most valuable player and led his team to the 2007 playoffs but he lost to the golden state.In 2011 he led his team to the playoffs they went all the way and beat the heat in the nba finals and he won the finals mvp.since then he …show more content…
Overall drik had an awesome career like when he passed shaq which he did on december 24 1015 and he led his team to the nba finals in 2011 also when he won the mvp in 2007.Also he is ranked in all time scoring of foreign players.Also he ranks in the top 5 27,000+ points on one team, behind Mj which had 29,777 and dirk had 27,000.He got the nickname german jesus because he help the dallas mavericks make the playoffs and he also won them a nba title.He also broke many team records and nba records.His life outside of the nba was great as well he led the german national basketball team to 3 first place tournament wins.Outside of basketball was great he had two kids a son and daughter with his wife jessica olsson.You might think he makes a lot of money from endorsements but he said he does not want to become a gobal icon or a corporte brand.That is way I think dirk is one of the greatest to every play the game behind people like mj,kobe,karl malone,kareem abdul-jabbar.I think if he play a couple more season I think he could get into the top socres of all
