The three types of supervision are Direct Supervision, Indirect Supervision and Oversight.
1.) Direct Supervision means the supervising physician is physically available and present with the resident as they are providing care for a patient.
a. Example: The attending physician supervising a resident is in the room with the resident and patient supervising and/or instructing the resident as they perform a bronchoscopy on a patient.
2.) Indirect Supervision has two different levels.
