We chose Direct Relief because among all of the charities on Charity Navigator they were ranked number one on the, “10 of the Best Charities Everyone’s Heard Of” list. More importantly we chose this organization because we personally have never heard of this organization before researching them which means that they spend very little of their money on advertisement and majority of it on their programs and services. According to Charity Navigator, 99.2% of their program expenses are spent on the services they deliver, and 0.2% money spent on fundraising expenses.
