All 15 tips are excellent to help me use formative assessments in the classroom, and I would try my best to use them all. I have no experience in a classroom so anything that I can get my hands on to help my students I’m willing to check it out. But for the purpose of answering this question, I picked “It’s not a quiz”, why? Because a lot of students including myself get a little anxious at the word “quiz” or “test” and unfortunately it can cause not to do the well on the quiz or test even when the student knows the material. The other tip I picked is “Ask the right questions”, I want to make sure that I am not confusing my students by asking the wrong questions which might get them off track.…

In general, I think my interview went well although some imperfections still exist. One of the useful strategy I employed is holding the mock interview before conducting the real one, and I find this practice really benefited me as a qualitative researcher at a beginning level. However one concern that I held for this mock interview in particular is that I somehow constructed more pre-assumptions and expectations that should not have existed on the participant and her answers through this process, which was totally against the self reflective principle for being a qualified qualitative researcher. Therefore this strategy should not be used again in the future since for me its negative costs overweight the benefit. My inexperience of conducting…

When interviewing for a job opportunity, many individuals experience anxiety and stress during the process. From personal experience, I can admit that I do not retain the greatest interview skills - I shake uncontrollably, I demonstrate high anxiety levels, and I find it challenging to think on the spot. For me, the questions, themselves, do not represent the stressor, but rather, the stress comes from knowing that the individual in front of me retains the ability to control my future career. Interviews exemplify an all-or-nothing situation - you either get the job or you do not. This past week, I participated in a mock interview role-play in class, which permitted me to evaluate and test my interview skills with peers.…
