Two widely used pesticides, Atrazine and Roundup, have been proven to cause a reduction in survival rates and production of eggs in organisms, such as snails (Barky, 2012). Pesticides can damage the DNA within an organism on a molecular level. It is because of this that Atrazine and Roundup, when polluting the aquatic environment, are able to affect the metabolism and reproduction of organisms.
