Direct democracy is a form of democracy in which the people decide policy initiatives directly, according to the wikipedia definition. Representative democracy is when the people vote on representatives to act as a voice of the people to decide the policy initiatives, rather than having the people decide directly. Direct democracy would be the perfect form of government for a small country with educated citizens. With educated citizens, the votes will be ethical and prioritized. The citizens will have a clear picture of how the government works and knowledge of what correct procedures are needed when troubles arise in the government and with the people.
