While driving, he began to see two cars when there was only one present. The patient also had a history of a cataract, and doctors are now thinking he may have an underlying condition, esotropia. It was ordered for my patient to wear an eye patch on his right eye to try to strengthen his left eye but he was not compliant with the order. Other treatment has not yet been decided. The patient’s labs were within normal limits except for his hemoglobin and sodium, which was low, and his creatinine, glucose, and prothrombin time which was high. I had all normal findings during the patient’s physical assessment, and he denied any double vision at that time. I also performed a neuro check in which he scored zero, and those were being done to rule out the possibility of a stroke.
