Dionysus, also known as Bacchus or Iacchus is the child of Zeus who Fell in love with Semele, Semele is Dionysus mother making Zeus his father. In some myths it is said that Semele got pregnant by Zeus's thunderbolt which is where the virgin thing came into play DIONYSOS is called twice born. Zeus wife Hera got jeloius when she found out that Semele was pregnant and tried to get rid of her so Hera gave doubt to Semele and this is what happend, she had Zeus show himself to her and when Zeus did fires comsummed Semele burning her to death but Zeus saved the baby who was Dionysus. Zeus then gave the baby to Semele sister to raise. Dionysus was the Greek God of wine and fertility and rebirth. Dionysus was one of the biggest and well known Gods he had many aspects one eas such as rebirth after death. one was his wine he could make people feel like someone else was taking them over.

Dionysus traveled around the world so that he could find out different ways to make wine. Dionysus looked very well maintained with his wreath of ivy upon his head and he was holding a staff that had leaves of ivy and a pine cone sitting onto of it the staff was called "thyrsos". Dionysus gave the power to turn everything into gold for Midas and he also took it back from him.
