A slab of sandstone discovered at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center contains at least 70 mammals and dinosaur tracks from at least 100 million years ago, according to a new paper published on January 31st in the Journal Scientific Reports. The discovry provided a rare glimpse of mammals and dinosaurs interacting. The tracks were discovered by Ray Stanford -- a local track expert whose wife, Sheila, works at Goddard. One day after dropping off Sheila at work in 2012, Stanford spotted a rock outcropping behind Sheila's building on a hillside, as it turned out it was a dinosaur track. Stanford Parked his car, investigated , and found a 12-inch-long dinosaur track on the exposed rock.
