Dinner Reservation Short Story

My family and I start to get ready to go to our dinner reservation at EL MIDNIGHT MI Cabaña. We finish getting our showers and put on our perfume and cologne. We sit around waiting to go. It’s time to go as we let our dogs inside before we leave we hear several car crashes. We go to the restaurant even with hearing the commotion. I look out my window seeing several car crashes that haven’t been attended to, I start to talk to my parents about the world ending, I say to my mom and dad that I love them and hope that everything is ok, and I think to myself what if this really is the end. We are greeted at the door by a very nice young women, she tells us to sit anywhere. The owner flips the TV to a news station and what I see is something …show more content…
We are greeted by a big burly man with a m-four he looks as if he’s in his mid-twenties Stay inside or you will be gunned down by the platoon of marines outside The marine says and looks around then turns to leave. I look up at him and ask what is going on he simply looks down at me and says with the straightest face possible all h*!! is breaking loose and well kid there are zombies outside, I look at him with anger IS THIS SOME FIND OF JOKE TO YOU! My mom pulls me away and gives me a stern look, I calm down and look at him. A moment later he is gone and we can hear the platoon leaving and one of the marine’s coms saying evacuate now we are dropping the bomb. My parents and I look at each other frightened so we run outside to our car and drive as fast as possible to our house trying to get there without losing control of the car. We barely make it to our house, we get inside and start to get essentials about thirty minutes later we have our bags packed and we are getting ready to drive to our family in Ohio.
