Mammals evolved from a reptilian ancestor group include Dimetrodon that gave rise to the Therapsids. This transition is a major event in evolution of life begun approximately 250 million years. The most prominent feature of Dimetrodon is the large neural spine sail on its back formed by elongated spines extending from the vertebrae similar to crested chameleon. The fossils of these early mammals have played a central role in understanding both mammalian evolution and the theory of plate tectonics which explains how animals have made it from South Africa to Antarctica without a land connection between the

During the “Whale Tales” I observed, that the Pakicetus was more of a land animal that had a long skull and long teeth unlike the Ambulocetus which had more aquatic lifestyle with shorter legs, feet enlarged like paddles, and had a long and muscular tale. In other words, the Pakicetus was a land animal and had land features unlike the Ambulocetus which lived in the ocean and had body features for swimming. This means that the Ambulocetus evolved from the Pakicetus because one was a land animal while the other one was a water animal and had similar body parts. This shows evolution because it shows that these two whales evolved from each other from being a land animal who could barely swim to a water animal who barely lived on land. This supports my claim because it shows how evolution occurred with whales and it compared two…

A moral person is someone who is concerned with the principles of right and wrong behavior as well as their human character. Dr. Rod Dynes is the person I consider to be a moral leader. He has served with Global Health Outreach for the past ten or more years, and he has dedicated his time to taking a team of doctors and dentists down to Honduras each year to serve. Not only does he organize and lead the trip, but he leads the medical team in the best way possible to minister to patients about Jesus and treat as many as possible. He also sponsors a child down in Honduras, and he faithfully visits them and their family.…

In the early 1920’s, a group of dauntless Norwegian sailors attempted a voyage no one had ever successfully mastered. Through the rushing, diligent, and harsh waters of the cold Antarctic these men voyaged to the isolated island of Bouvet. As this accomplishment was exciting enough, the zoologist on board, Ditlef Rustad, discovered a fish like no other vertebrae ever seen. The Chaenocephalus aceratus, as it was deemed, changed thoughts of evolution with its physical appearance, defied rules of genes birth and death and allowed for an entire species to grow under an ecosystem otherwise not thought to exist in the extreme conditions of the Antarctic. As it has been introduced, this White Blooded creature was a mystery to scientists around the…

Each characteristics of species defines their lifestyle. From Australopithecus afarensis having canine tooth projected beyond the chewing surface and having canine diastema depicts the possibility of species having raw carnivorous food. Throughout time, species started exploring more food and started cooking leading to large molars to chew their food. The width of the dental arcade helped later species. The skull and vertebral attachment shows how species evolved to have a bipedal lifestyle.…

Experts found the fossil in the Hubei Province of China in the bottom of a former lake. It is estimated that the animal lived around 55 million years ago. Given the scientific name of Archiebus achilles, researchers hope that this discovery will reveal more information about early primate and human evolution. More specifically, the goal is to identify the point when modern-day large apes and humans split from their smaller, tree-dwelling relatives. Archiebus existed 55 million years ago, on an Earth that was extremely different from today’s world.…
