Goal #7: Demonstrate a proper knowledge of digital terminology, and how both humans and computers comprehend these concepts. Language can be very powerful when it comes to digital formatting. The terminology collectively understood by CMDC graduates helps fit them into the real world directly out of college. When working on a project, everyone involved should be speaking the same computer language, not only in their terminology but their general understanding of coded languages and scripts. This builds for a better understanding between group members and between businesses. To be able to use media terminology and grammar in a professional manner during a presentation or email to a client is vital, as any obvious mistake removes credentials and possibly a loss in employment or business.
Aside from terminology, the formatting of digital language alone plays a large part in how our work is perceived from coworkers and clients alike. Hyperlinks, auditory reading, and artistically altered text can make a passage much for engaging for the audience, and allows for more creativity from the author.
