Digital technology has become such a part of our lives; it gives us access to education from anywhere. In 1986, to get an education you had to go to a campus and sit in front of a teacher. This would be fine for typical students. However, for the students who are working while earning a degree this is very difficult. Now, we have the technology that allows anyone anywhere to receive higher education. Students do not have to drive to a campus; they can complete their studies at home. Although online classes seem more manageable than traditional classes, students still have to do assignments and participate. Participation in any class is important in order to know what the assignments are, how to do them, asking for help, giving help

This article compared two types of students within an online. One student engages within the online class discussion and interacts with other and instructors, while the other does not engage as much (Nagel, Blignaut, Cronjé 2009).. Online classes have become more popular over the years. Online classes make it easier for people who are working or cannot get to a traditional campus to earn their degree. With the available access to WiFi anyone can literally go anywhere to acquire their degree. However, just because we have the access does not mean we will be successful.
Like with a traditional class, the work needs to be put into it in order to receive the grade. In an online class it is easy to procrastinate because you physically do not have to get in your car, drive to campus, and sit in a classroom. Not being in a classroom makes it easy to forget about assignments and not participate in class discussions (Nagel et al., 2009). You do not have that teacher in your face reminding you of assignments that need to be done or test that are about to come up.
