In this case, the process of development and implementation of digital social mapping is identified based on varied source to reveal best learning practice of the project therefore this research will use case study method (Lincoln and Guba 1985) with emphasis on the process of creating digital social mapping and the implementation of mapping result to support the development. The case study is an assessment of phenomenon or cases in real life. However, the boundaries between the phenomenon and the case in the gray area, therefore, different sources are needed to make the case more understandable (Yin 2013).
Yin divides case study into four types:
1. Single case design (Holistic)
2. Single case design (Embedded)

The characterization of unit analysis may be similar as how the case is designated. Unit analysis has a correlation with how is to form the research question (Yin 2013). Unit analysis is used because it would determine how to analyze the case study (William 2006). The selecting unit analysis may essential to identify the appropriate information to be collected because if there is no unit analysis, the researcher may be tempted to collect and to compare too much information. This interview is using semi-structured interview where the researcher prepares the question but the researcher could be able to ask a deeper question in interesting topic to explore the answer. Semi-structured interview is the flexible method hence the technique may able to generate respondents enthusiastic to answer the question. Building trust with the informants could help the researcher to get, to verify and to clarify the data and information. Some interviews, especially with some key informants, conducted more than one time to ensure the researcher provided with adequate data. In general, the interview is conducted through three steps
a. Introduce the researcher and describe the case that the researcher will do so the informants could be able to understand the context of research.
b. The researcher asks the respondents about the main topic about the case study which respondents knew or involved in the process.
c. The last step is the conclusion of the interview. The researcher clarifies the information and trying to find additional
