Digital Painting is a method of creating an art object (painting) digitally and/or a technique for making digital art in the computer. It adapts traditional painting mediums such as acrylic paint, oils, ink, watercolor, and so on.
As a technique, it refers to a computer graphics software program that uses a virtual canvas and virtual painting box of brushes, colors and other supplies. The virtualbox contains many instruments that do not exist in the world, and which give a digital artwork a different look and feel from an artwork that is made the traditional way. It can be very time-consuming and it will cost quite a lot of money but if you successfully finish a painting, you will feel satisfied. It is a matter of patience …show more content…
This technique is very hard as you have to do the art bit by bit like drawing but using a mouse, which is hard and also time-consuming, however if you use a tablet or iPad with or made with that specific function to create art it would be much much easier.
Computer Generated Art
The earliest digital paintings are made in this method, where the artist writes a code, and the code generates an image. Code-mode painting offered a lot of freedom in style and idiom - though intricate forms were difficult to program. It’s basically a fast and effective way to do Digital Painting, but this method was used a long time ago, now we have quite a number of softwares to allow us to personally design our own artwork on the computer or tablet.
Modern programs used for web design usually offer a 'design mode' alongside a 'code mode'. The advantage of a design mode is that it allows to build web pages without the need of programming. The designer can choose to visually construct an image and the software will generate the necessary code.

It is pretty much quite similar to Digital Painting, except that Digital Art can be purely computer-generated or taken from scanned photographs or an image drawn using vector graphics softwares with a mouse or graphics tablet! it is usually reserved for art that has been non-trivially modified by a computer process, although digitized text data and raw audio and video recordings are not usually considered digital art in themselves, they can be part of the larger project of computer art and information art! Digital Art has puzzled me for quite a while until I discovered Digital Painting while searching for IRS topics. I looked at the image search between the two and found that it was almost the same, but since they each had a different term for one another, I knew I had to find the difference, turns out I
