It is a long-term process for most of the couples. Before run into the ending result of divorce, there are four steps for separation which include pre-separation stage, early separation stage, mid separation stage and late separation stage (McDonald 2016). First, in a pre-separation stage that people come out the ideal of “separation will be happier” in the head and prepared money for it (McDonald 2016). Second, in early separation referrers to think about how to tell other people and who will leave the house (McDonald 2016). Third, in mid separation is the most stressful time for couples and they may separate the life in the different household (McDonald 2016). Fourth, the late separation is the time for real divorce and announce to other family members (McDonald 2016). Analyzing from my parent’s marriage, they experience a least three stages of pre-separation phase. For the first stage, my parents may form the idea of divorce since they are lacking communication and easily fighting each other but it was not very clear and affirmative because they did not display in front of children very much. The second stage may be more obvious for me to analyze because both my parent asked the question about “If mom and dad are going to divorce, who you want to live with?” or “If I am going to leave the house, are you going with me?” for several times. Rutter (2015), there is eighty percent of children went well after divorce, only twenty percent of singlehood children had been a report with misbehavior. My brother and I both have a good education and hard working people. However, most of the society had the stigma that people from single parent family are a bad person even though we did nothing bad for our community. Furthermore, people were less respect for children from single mother family. For example, I still remembered that my elementary school teacher asked the student who want to receive government financial support for single mother child should stand up in front of people and let teacher wrote done the name. I was the only one student to stand in front of people even though I did not like the embarrassing feeling, but the money was beneficial for the whole family, so I had to do it no matter how bad the situation it was. Finally, children may have a disconnection with on the side of the parent (McDonald 2016). We also had a similar problem of lack of parenting from our father. We only met twice a year because he was very busy at work and we left in a different city which increased the distance between our
