Different Types Of Hemp

Decent Essays
Hemp will NOT get anyone “high”. That bears repeating. You CANNOT get “high” off of hemp. Unlike its counterpart, hemp contains minute traces of TCH that make it impossible for anyone to become intoxicated. Rather, hemp’s usefulness comes from its strong and durable soft-fibers. Often referred to as “industrial hemp” because of its plethora of uses, hemp stalks are broken down into two parts: fiber strands and cellulose pulp. The fibers are cleaned and spun into thread and yarn to manufacture rope, clothing, and many types of fabrics. The pulp is used to make paper, paint, sealants, plastics, and many other construction materials. Moreover, hempseeds are used to make cooking oil, lubricants, hand lotions, and even food.

Research has also shown that marijuana “ use does not lead to physical dependence, and there are no withdrawal symptoms when the drug is not discontinued” (“drug use” Britannica School. Encyclopaedia Britannica).…

Also, the main chemical in marijuana, THC, is far less potent than that of alcohol. “A fatal marijuana overdose in humans would take 40,000 times the amount of THC that it took to get them high in the first place,” according to the New Health Guide (“New Health Guide”). Say that someone could get drunk on three beers; it would take 15-30 beers to kill them.…
