There are so many different kinds of people in the world. Its important for everyone to start accepting everyone for who they are. The gay community has come such a long way in the US. Yet some people still don’t feel safe because of who they find attractive. There are people who suffer from mental disorders, but because you can’t see the disorder, people assume its fake. But when someone has a disability, like being blind, the tend to label the person by their disability and they can’t live an equal life. There are people on the world who don’t take care of their children and need other people to come and help. Learning about other people’s experiences help me understand who they are. The one thing that really stood out to me was when he was homeless. There are plenty of reasons why people become homeless. But I think mental health plays a big role in why homelessness is an issue in the US. I have always seen homeless people around the town and didn’t pay much attention to them and left them be. But after thinking and considering why they would be homeless, makes me want to help. A homeless man can be suffering from PTSD and people will think he is just a crazy homeless man and not do anything. Because someone doesn’t see mental health, people assume they don’t have it. The Eugene Mission really saved his life. It was a safe for him to go with people who wanted to help. Unlike in the mental hospital, where he felt like he was in prison. Just because someone suffers from a mental disorder, doesn’t mean they are crazy and should be treated like an animal. Feeling safe and being comfortable in a place is more important and help more than being forced to take medication. You can never know what some has suffered through in their childhood, which can play a role in someone’s mental health. The best thing someone can have is
