Different interpretations of the word family get thrown around daily. Some would say friends and people that are close to you are family; Others would say your parents and siblings are your family but what is the difference. How can we put a definition on a word the could mean so many different things. If family means blood what people that are adopted think of family. Family is more than just being related by blood; its when the bond between people are so close that one feels safe and comfortable. Family has different affects on people. I believe just because you live with people doesn 't always make you family. The ones you live with could make your outlook on family a completely different thing then someone 's else views on it. Maybe to one person family is their friends and being with people that love them for who they are; However, another person could think family is the people with the same blood ad you because it is put in children head that what family is. He then looks at his friends and those other people as his real family because his at home family is not treating him good and he is not comfortable in his own home. This shows that just because that his mother and father is his blood this doesn 't make them make them family, what makes the group of people family is that he can go to them to feel safe. In the story '"Rose for Emily" her father sheltered her as a child and never thought anybody was every good enough for his daughter and this affected her family life.Over the years people started to say "Poor Emily" because they knew how her family life was and knew it wasn’t a good.
