Children go to school and pretend that everything is going well at home when it is not! How long do these children have to go through this? Child abuse is an issue that needs more attention.All school employees should be better trained to recognize and confront signs of abuse because child abuse is a widespread issue that children are not likely to discuss, so too many incidents go unreported.
Child abuse is where a child is either sexual or physical or emotional abuse from their parents or it can even be a caregiver or someone that is really close to them and 1 out of 3 girls and 1 out of 5 boys will be sexually abused and approximately 5 children die every day because of child abuse. (Reuters).The other type of abuse is Emotional is where the parent or anyone says hurtful and not truthful words or bad advice to the child to bring them down and not have very good self esteem because of where they have been brought down so much and after awhile the child can get a stress disorder because from where they had so much trauma when they were little or growing up and sometimes it even leads into their teenage years or when they are 18 it just depends on the situation. There is about 5 children of either boy or girl die from child abuse but it could come from anybody and 1 out of 3 every other girl or 1 out of 5 boys are either sexual or physical or emotional abused before they reach the age of 18 because then once they are 18 the police can not do anything because they are legal adults by then. (Reuters).There are 90% of sexual abused childeren or victims know their perpetrator or abuser but only 68% are abused by either a family member or parent or caregiver. There is about 80% of 21 year olds that were abused as children meet the criteria for at least one of the pysicaonligal disorder. (Kaneshiro).The abused children are less likely to practice safe sex , but then putting themselves at a greater risk for STDS or diseases ,they are also 25% more likely to experience teen pregnancy and about 14% of all men and 36% of all the women are in prison were abused as children and the reason that they are prison because they are acting out and taking it out on someone else because they do not like what has happened to them so they decide to take it out on someone else. Children that have experienced child abuse or neglect are 59% more likely to be arrested or put into juvenile , or 28% more likely to be arrested as an adult , and 30% more likely to commit violence crime.
