Gender Roles In our society, men and women are assigned different roles. However, it is not significant that men cannot do something that women do and women cannot do something that men do. Normally, gender role is a term which is used to identify how males and females in our society should think, act, dress up, communicate or interact with anyone. They are based on cultural and personal experiences. In our society, both men and women have different roles which make us think about how we treat both the genders differently. It also makes us think about how we approach towards each other and what our opinions about the roles of other people in our society are. Gender roles do not have a specific introduction or definition as they can be seen through different perspective which make them an important subject to be discussed on a table. Usually, we refer to the term gender roles in various aspects of our life on daily basis. No matter how much a man desires to have children, he cannot have one without the consent of his woman. At the same time, when a mother gives birth to her children, we associate them that if she is a girl, she will do this when she grows up and if it is a boy, he will do this when he grows up. It can be called socialization because all these gender roles are regarded by the society and it declares some of the acceptable and unacceptable behaviors. According to research, “Little girls can experiment further along the gender spectrum than boys, but they, too, and have socially cordoned boundaries” (Hoffman). It means that we must pass the social musters on which we are assigned our gender
