Differences Of The Mayan Calendar And Their Culture

All Calendars were so different back then. In today world all the calendars are the same, but the only difference is that they all have their own meaning depending on the culture you are from. They also have more days or months added to there year. Many people use to think that the Mayan calendar was something real that everything it said was true. It turns out that the Mayan Calendar use to say that the world was going to end and it turns out it wasn't true. I believe that people should have other ways to reflect on a calendar about themselves or their culture.
The issue focused on this paragraph is that the Ancient Calendar had something different than the other two sources given. The Ancient calendar people use to have differential days and months. Efficiently their days and hours were counted differently. The Ancient nation relied upon the motion of their bodies through the sky to determine the months, seasons and years. “The earliest Egyptian calendar was based on the moon cycles”(Source 1). In this calendar, there was a difference between the minutes and seconds each year. There were years that were longer for 10 days more in a month then the solar calendar. However, it then affected the liturgical catholic church and it stated that there were later not feast days. “For example, the Easter intend as a spring observance would unlimitedly occur on the summer “(Source 2). Until now I envision that it does not matter how the calendar would be established people should still be able to have their own religion how they would determine to set
