Kobe Bryant has throughout his life been compared to Michael Jordan in almost every aspect. Some say that Kobe Bryant steals Michael Jordan’s moves, even Michael Jordan thinks that Kobe steals his moves. Kobe and Michael are both champions, shooting guards, and they both had very successful careers.
In 1991, Michael Jordan won his first NBA championship in only five games. At the time the Playoffs were four game elimination, meaning that first team to win four games wins the round as well as the championship. The first game of the NBA Finals was won by the Los Angeles Lakers, but the second game was won by the Bulls in a blowout game. Kobe Bryant is 6’6 and 213 pounds, he has played the shooting guard position for the Los Angeles Lakers for his entire career, although at the beginning of his career when he was a freshmen and sophomore in the NBA the coaches of the Lakers didn’t know what position to put him at. His phenomenal ball handling skills and insane court vision could’ve very easily put him at the point guard position, but on the other spectrum his immense size and speed as well as extreme jumping ability could’ve very easily just as well put him at the small forward position. The Lakers made the perfect decision of putting Kobe right in the middle of both of those positions, putting him at the shooting guard position. Michael Jordan is 6’6 and 216 pounds only putting him three pounds heavier than Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan just like Kobe has been both adjusted between the point guard and the small forward position until he was settled at the shooting guard position because of his uncanny ability to put the ball inside of the basket.
