Definition of homosexuality differs from each side. Is it a choice or something that a person a born being? Is homosexuality a behavior or an orientation? The authors of Authentic Human Sexuality, Judith Balswick and Jack Balswick, do not give a clear yes or no on whether homosexuality is a sin or not. "Our theology of sexuality, then, is based on the premise that God created us to show forth God's image as male and female in relationship. The directive to replenish and subdue the earth (rightful dominion) and to be in authentic relationship (rightful sociability) leads us to a heterosexual norm" (Balswick & Balswick, 2008. p.135). To some, it is possible that a people can have a non-sexual physical relationship with the same-sex and not be gay. This argument is based on an “eros” relationship; it challenges people to apply Biblical passages to their idea of “eros” relationships and to not reject concepts of homosexuality in whole (Smith, 2006). The heterosexual relationship is shown through Genesis 2:23-25 "And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed" (KJV).
