Android vs IOS Technology has many controversial topics and the OS battle is one on top. Around the world people are choosing weather to go with android as there first smart-phone or IOS. There are many factors that new buyers tend to look for when choosing there first smart-phone. When a new smart-phone user chooses there first phone they look for how the phone will work in day to day operation, what kind of apps can you get, what and how can you customize it to make it yours and how secure it is. The power users out there may even look at the differences between rooting an android vs jailbreaking an IOS device. Android and IOS both have great apps for email but where IOS fails is in the ability to make a group contact. Creating a contact for lets say work and have all your employes in this one group, would make sending an email much faster then having to individually pick every one you want to send to. Calender apps are extremely similar in the way the month, week and days are layed out. Something that the apple calender does not do is automatically sync up your saved dates from your computer like android does. Android uses google as the main calender app so when you log in all your events are already on your phone. Web browsing on both types of OS are about the same. Android devices use google chrome and IOS use safari which is not available for android. Google which is one of the main originators of android make sure that you can have all your info on any device without hassle. Apple which makes IOS, has it where what you put on your device will only fully work with another IOS or apple product. When you are are the web or just downloading apps you want to know if you are actually safe from viruses and/or malware. Androids app store does not check individual apps for viruses but rather the whole app store at once. This could allow you download an app before it has been checked and instal a virus without you even knowing it. IOS is safer because they check every app before it gets but on the store. When you have stock IOS you don’t have the right to download third party apps stopping a direct download of a virus. The main reason for IOS being safer is because it is a closed operating system unlike android which is open source. Everything changes when you unlock the full potential of both
