The two time periods of service that I will be analyzing are World War II and the Korean War. World War II lasted from September 1, 1939-September 2, 1945. The Korean War lasted from June 25, 1950-July 27, 1953. WWII and The Korean War were both similar because the United States involved itself in both wars. Also, during both wars at some point the United States was fighting against communism. Even though the two wars share similarities they also have a lot of differences which are important for social workers to be aware of. While researching both wars I noticed one big difference between the two, which is that I could find a lot more information on World War Two and not the Korean War.
