To Kill a Mockingbird, a novel about two siblings becoming aware of social problems in Alabama during the great depression was recreated into a film in 1962. Although the book and movie, were very similar the recreation has many limitations that the novel doesn’t. With the characters, narration, and plot it is proven the novel was better than the film.
Because the film had limited time to tell each interaction with all the characters, it left out extremely important characters such as Aunt Alexandra and Miss. Maudie. Towards the end of the novel, Aunt Alexandra reassured Scout into thinking Jem wasn’t dead, comforting her throughout the journey. Although she didn’t play a huge role in the book she cared for Scout and Jem. Miss Maudie
