Cash crops enabled the countries to grow mass amounts of the crop for a large profit, an idea implemented not only in mainland Britain and America, but in their colonies as well. The idea of producing cash crops has stuck around, especially in the colonized areas within Africa and Latin America. The majority of the African agrarian economy is supported by the production of cash crops such as cocoa, coffee, cotton, fruit, rubber, and tea. Similarly in Latin America, the agrarian economy is supported by cash crops such as coffee, cotton, and sugar. As for the industrial aspect, the introduction of new technologies within Britain and America allowed the two countries to reach an Industrial Revolution quicker than other nations. A sense of convenience to follow the British and American models came about with the introduction of their technologies.
