The Boston Trials The film and the article differed from each other in their descriptions of the trials. One big difference was that in the movie, there was only one trial where all the soldiers and Captain Preston were tried together. But in the article it said that the trial of Captain Preston and the trial of the soldiers were at different times. Another difference was that in the movie, all of the soldiers were acquitted by the jury and were all set free, but in the article it said that Hugh Montgomery and Mathew Killroy were found guilty of manslaughter. In the movie, it also didn’t talk about the testimony of Patrick Carr, even though it was a turning point in the trial. The movie was probably dramatized
